This wasn't a trip for the light hearted !!
Paul and I flew business class direct from San Diego to London, Saw the changing of the guards, Toured London on a double decker bus. Figured out the London Underground subways. Went to Soho to see Mamma Mia (great seats) which was fabulous! Dinner at one of the top tables in the world call Prism in the financial district.
Denmark's capital is sophisticated, saucy and friendly. We strolled Tivoli Gardens and take in bright lights and danced the night way! Visited Rosenburg castle that out-Disney Disney. The lively Old Harbor - Hans Christian Andersen lived here. Salute the Little Mermaid, symbol of this light-hearted city.
Medieval walls and towers still stand tall in Old Town. We strolled and shop along cobblestone streets, walk up to the baroque palace, drop in at Alexander Nevsky Cathedral to find inspiration in the gleaming mosaics and icons.
In Peter the Great's "Window on Europe" our first stop was the fabulous Hermitage, with its renowned art collection from Raphael to Rembrandt, Titian to Tintoretto. Took in a concert folkloric that afternoon. Went to the Peterholf and Pushikin the summer palaces the next day.

So much to see in this charming city, sprawled on 18 islands "Venice of the North." We cruised into the sparkling waterways. We watched the snappy changing of the guard at the baroque Royal Palace.
Berlin history awaits for us: Checkpoint Charlie, Unter der Linden, Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag. Paul and I made a side trip to his childhood home during the cold war.
Lovely evenings with great friends, wonderful dinners and big breakfasts. Lots of Baltic views from the side of the ship. The sun went down around 11:30 to midnight the entire trip.
