60th Anniversary of a little-known War Story

"It was the costliest training exercise in all of World War II. As the bodies washed ashore in days ahead, the official count rose to 749."

This occurred in April 28th, 1944. A tragedy that resulted in the deaths of 749 soldiers in a single day, outside of the combat zone, during a training exercise for D-Day.

The RIOT Wheel

" What is the RIOT Wheel?
It's an 1100lb motorized single-wheel vehicle, with the driver in front. Why, what does it look like?
Is it NEW?
Completely. There's nothing like it. It's the first radical departure in single-wheel designs in over a hundred years. "

Ohio Police Videos (These are crazy!)

A trooper had pulled over to investigate a crash, when two vehicles passing on the right failed to stop, causing the first vehicle to land on the second. No major injuries were reported.

Zen stories to tell your neighbors

"The great Taoist master Chuang Tzu once dreamt that he was a butterfly fluttering here and there. In the dream he had no awareness of his individuality as a person. He was only a butterfly. Suddenly, he awoke and found himself laying there, a person once again. But then he thought to himself, "Was I before a man who dreamt about being a butterfly, or am I now a butterfly who dreams about being a man?"

Bush Scandals Are Roiling: Turn Up the Heat!

"This aggressive attitude suggests a firm belief on their part that they'll still be residing in the White House after January inauguration day. What do they know that we don't? Rigged computer-voting machines with no way to double-check manipulated vote tallies? Osama bin Laden already in the can? Photos of John Kerry in flagrante delicto with a parakeet?

..let's try to examine the actions on this list all engineered or encouraged by the Bush Administration and see what they indicate.. "

Rwanda Genocide:
Ten Years As Of Yesterday

"Rwanda's 100 days of genocide began on 6 April 1994. During civil war between the mainly-Hutu government and the Tutsi-led rebels, Hutu militias began an orchestrated killing campaign.

About 937,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed. "

The death of some rock star ten years ago somewhat pales in comparison to 937,000 killed in the worst modern genocide, while the world stood idly by. Ironically, this also happened ten years ago.
